I quite like the idea of us having a general roadworks warning thread. We have lots of people who drive around the area who could warn us of bad traffic spots due to roadworks and if they need avoiding or not.

I have made this a sticky and anyone who wants can add roadworks they spot, please also mention when they have gone as well.

If it does not appear to be used or of much use I will un sticky it

A sticky is a thread that is kept at the top of the list so that it's easy to find.

I think in this case a pointless act, do we want one thread that contains advice about all roadworks?

I would have thought the way it has been done up to now would suffice, each bit of info in it's own thread it would then be kept as a priority only whilst the information is relevent and we wouldn't have all the traffic problems mixed into one big muddle.

Good idea.

I like road works.

I enjoy going to watch the free lights shows.

No. I was asked to leave, for being too happy, in Happy Mount Park.

I did say we can see how it goes. For those of us who read new posts it might work well instead of there being a lots of individual threads. If people think it will work we can make it so we only post about new and finished roadworks only with no chat in.

Quite obvious I read new posts, I read this one.
However piling all our traffic reports into one thread can lead to confusion.
If we have an individual thread about say, Avenue Parade, we know without searching through previous posts we are talking about Avenue Parade.
If we have one thread that deals with ALL roadworks and some lazy poster just puts a post on saying 'it's gone now', do they mean Avenue Parade's roadworks have gone or one of the many other road works that we have at that time?
Better to have individual threads for each of the problems than one large thread that just adds to the confusion.
