kia owners may want to read this

if your kia has hands free kit and is due for service or if you are taking it to the kia dealers for any reason demand that they do not apply any update to your car as they apply updates as standard procedure if you take your car in.

i took mine in yesterday and the new update they installed has totaly screwed up the handsfree feature and makes using your phone while driving pretty dangerous.

i went back today and the brand new cars in teh showroom have the same issue as they have the latest update also .

bluetooth hands freee is pretty much useless now until they fix the issue at KIA and hand it down to dealerships.

thought i would give it a mention because if you want to call out while driving you have to mess with your phone to get it to send through to the car system and it will no longer automaticaly transfer to your hands free.

we tried a few phones on different cars at the dealerships and all with the new system update failed to connect the phone automaticaly

im waiting to hear back if they can downgrade the car system software back to one that works

Can you not use a system similar to Windows?

Drive it up a hill, put it in neutral, release the handbrake and give it a roll-back?

It could even give you security problems and allow people to by-pass your central locking.

Another reason not to use windows in your car I suppose would be, every time you wanted to change gear, being asked, "are you sure?" would make double de-clutching compulsory.
