How To Clean Windows

I learned this from a vicar, a female vicar at that. The best way to clean windows is to get the muck off with water. Then, when the window is cleanish and not dripping wet, use last nights Evening Telegraph, or other appropriate newspaper, scrunched up as a cleaning cloth on the glass. I can assure one and all that it will come up lovely. Sparkling like.:hothothot

I thought that was common knowledge.

Sue...you are right....I thought it was common knowledge too.
White vinegar in water and a shammy(chamois leather) also brings them up sparkling....failing that, let the window cleaner earn his keep.

There aren't many places outside of prison walls where a person can meet a vicar of either sex.
:)

If it is the person we suspect, he's mocking the system by putting the name of a supermarket in his user name!

Yep, the vinegar trick is good too.

Our window cleaner certainly earns his keep - there are 15 windows on our fourstorey house, plus the UPVC front and back doors, which he cleans with one of those long pole systems. He has charged us £10 a time for this ever since we came here six years ago. But then he is a nice chap.

In this case I suspect the use of the supermarket's name has a more specific allusion, if I understand Less and Cashy's drift...

If it was to be the case, would suggest "Not the brightest lamp in the street"? Someone else may even suggest "Runs in the family":D

Perhaps you mean, "Ruins in the family".

You don't have to say you wouldn't pee on either of them if they were on fire, because I wouldn't waste the petrol trying to get them to be a little brighter.
:o

Don't worry yourself lass, all will be revealed no doubt when one of them spits their dummy out, nothing bonds people together like brotherly love.

P.S. that wasn't a clue.

P.P.S. Nor is this.

P.P.P.S. Ask Rindy.

I can be devious, but I do need a bit more practice.
I'll ask Miss bossy drawers to show me how she does it.

I doubt that I would, I have to drag my 18 year old mind out of bed every day, just to push my body in front of a mirror to remind myself, that today I'm going to act my age.
If that doesn't shock me you can't, hey I know it's addictive but you can even have sugar in your tea, just turn up.
:)

I have a similar problem(if it can be called that) except you are older than me....my brain is only 14 and still coping with the effects of puberty:D.
When I look in the mirror I wonder who the post menopausal old bird is that is looking back at me.......I'm thinking of getting rid of the mirrors in our house.

What's a mirror? I hate the things! Most of the ones in our house are fixed above my eyeline so I can't see in them - not difficult as I'm only five foot nothing. And I shut my eyes when I walk past the full length one.

Oh Sue! when I hear you...it could be me talking!
I'm five foot and half an inch...or I was, the last time someone measured me...and I'm hanging onto the half inch.
