George foreman grills
Not sure just where this dhould be so if in wrong place I apologise........Has anyone got one of these grills or heard any reports about them good or bad........The grill on my cooker packed up and don't know wether to get it fixed or just get one of these so any feedback on them will be much appreciated.

I've got the Rosemary Conley one which is almost the same and I wouldn't be without it now. It's very versatile, quick, easy to use, easy to clean and all the nasty fat runs off into a nice little container underneath. I think it's a better design than the George Foreman. If I do have a complaint at all it is that when cleaning it bits go down the back so I have the back end of it resting on a crumb tray so the mess doesn't go on the kitchen worktop. If I was designing one I'd have incorporated something like that too.

I have had a Anthony Worrall Thompson grill for the last two years, it's been great. You can also make toasted sandwiches on it too. A lot quicker to cook on than the conventional grill and easier to clean.

I've had one of these for years, long before GF and the rest started putting their names to them. They are quite handy but I prefer using a pan. As I'm an Atkins bod all that fat is no problem for me. One thing they are useful for is that I remove the plates and use them on the jets to give a nice chargrill flavour

george forman grills alright for some things etc sausage but do not try doing frying steak comes out like pieces of leather you can sole and heal your shoes with what comes out

thanks for all the feed back do any of you other than keith do steaks on their's cause this is one food I was thinking of it for....

I was just trying to say more or less the same thing! I wondered what was holding up my post!! :D
Basically it depends on the type of steak you use, how well done you like it and the temperature at which you cook it. |

Strangely enough If you want a well done steak you should set the temperature lower than a rare one. Other wise it will burn the outside before the inside is cooked through. Rare steaks want a very hot grill so the outside seals while the inside stays rare

I haven't tried frying an egg yet :D but since I got one I can't imagine living without it now. If your steak comes out like shoe leather you haven't got your settings right or it was the wrong kind of steak. Some steak just isn't meant for grilling. We had some delicious grilled steak the other day. Even basic burgers come out a lot better than under an ordinary grill.

He died from banging his head when he slipped on ice. There were untrue reports he was 17 stone as well. In reality he was under 14. Its a shame that the media feel they have to derise his work because it doesn't fit in 'accepted' standards.
