Is it finished yet, have they started building houses yet?

Everything is flattened now. Dont know what is going up there, probably houses. Will keep you informed.

yup its all flat now, houses are going on & it will be called spinners walk, not too sure but i think they are barrett homes.

yep it's going to be a barratts estate apparently most now have a deposit down on them, so selling quick. There isn't even a show house yet as far as I can tell.

Is there any chance of any pictures of the rist wires area being posted?

They have actually put up road signs for Spinners walk already (the little yellow ones) and the place is not even built yet.

For those of you living away from the area, here is a photograph (March '03) taken by Owd Bert, of the building we will always remember as being Rists Wires and Cables

I wouldn't call it bad i would call it frightening. Never went into a factory since.

You beat me! I started there on the Housewives Shift one Monday and lasted till the Thursday. Horrible, horrible place.

i worked there too on the house wife shift i didnt mind it that was in the early 70s /

I lasted 6 weeks there, hated it so left before they sacked me i was too slow at the job. Did not finish my training.

Mother lasted 15 years and my aunt was there for the same amount of time.

Do you know these houses are being marketed as being in Oswaldtwistle. We locals know damn well its in Accy. Shows you what Barrats thinks of Accy eh?

you get more money if they are in ozzy and yes you are correct they are in accrington

wrist wires was in accrington so these houses are in accrington

i cetainly wouldnt pay the money they are asking for them houses even if i had it to spare

Are you bored chav or what , 1 year 9 months to reply have they took that long to build them? they've threw aldi up here in 6 and that includes knocking the factory down.

They all built, sold and now lived in, would take piccie as go down that road a lot being opposite work like, but can't be bothered (actually don't really know how to do all this tech. stuff)

To be honest, just really wanted to ask Chav who that fella' is in his Avator, going dizzy trying to sus it. :confused: Can see the word 'Gay' flashing, so a little concerned about ya' :D

Back to thread.. well, Pickup Street looks better now and well if in Accy only 50 yards from Ossie. Is one side of Pickup Street Ossie, t'other side Accy then ??
