Was there still a Nellie Burke's shop across from the Princes? We used to queue for about half an hour to get a bag of pear drops before getting into the picture queue

Used to work at the Little Empire up Ossy, three times a week in the evening for extra pocket money. Had a sort of crush on a bloke with a tweed jacket and a pipe!

I used to go dancing at the Middlehursts club. The dancing teacher was Claare and there was Jimmy the expert. Does anyone know what happend to Irene Maher, Clare Middlehurst's sister? She lived in Church and worked at Chambers' Mill over the bridge near the canal.
