I remember going to the discos on wednesday nights for the under 18's. Lots of characters there....:D I also remember being barred from the nightclub when I was 18......How rough is that eh???? Of course, I was totally innocent of any wrongdoing;)

Re: funnies nightclub
I went a few times, surprised I got out after getting stuck to the carpet - anyone remember how sticky it was? gods knows what was on it

Re: funnies nightclub
I’ve never been but a friend of mine once went with his girl friend and while stood at the bar some bloke started feeling his girlfriends bum. She turned and told her boy friend this; he took one look at this bloke and said to her “you better let him :o ”. They supped up and left and never returned. :)

Re: funnies nightclub
How rough was that place? But i do think the majority of people who lived in Accrington must have gone at least once, myself included. Once was enough.

Re: funnies nightclub
Went a few times. Not that rough if you could stand up for yourself.
Once went with a group after a Christmas do and for a laugh we took the bosses son! He thought he was being really 'street' or something by coming in but it definitely made him nervous - he gave us a bit more space after that. :D |
Re: funnies nightclub
Used to go to the under 18's disco which was ok, went a couple of times to the normal nightclub, always felt uneasy though, then went into ladies loo's there wer 2 girls kissing and wee all over the floor, that was it for me, dont think I went back after that.

Re: funnies nightclub
Got to say the Top Hat was theeeeeee last resort..as you say..them stairs were only a few steps.. but with two big ****** waiting at the bottom it seemed more like a lifetime..as Neil Armstrong said.."one small step for mankind...but a bloody great leap when you are in trouble"

The girl I said it to could have been a model. I didn't go around saying it to everyone. I thought it was great, everyone was really friendly/or perhaps just really drunk.:D |
