Re: Space 1999

I can still see in my mind an episode of Quatermass where the lead of the show walks into a tunnel and the floor starts to to move up and down like the sea.
This show,
with spine-tingling music accompanied with eerie colour's of deep purple and blue,
Scared the **** out of me,I don,t mind telling you.

It was the late fifties when I saw it as a young lad of five or six,but can only remember the tunnel scene of the show,Which must have been very scary to me.May'be some of the older brigade can fill us in.Church Boy

I loved Lost in Space also, although the music could freak me out some times. Also enjoy the Batman series.

Did a really scary show from the 60s called Dark Shadows ever make it over there? It was about vampires, wolfmen, ghosts, witches. My Mom watched it evry day at 4 oclock and I was absolutely petrified of going to bed at night and of the dark. Stupid me still would watch it with the fam each afternoon! Man that had some spooky music/sound effects too!

Yes,Dr Smith.What a character he was.
They wouldn't have been lost in space without him and his loveable comedy sidekick the Robot,
Who was my favourite apart from Robby.
