Dad Charlie quite a character. I love in Australia now have been here for 42 years but coming HOME this year. I live in Coffs Harbour so not that far from you. Been reading all the nostalgia today about Uncle Dick and Sadie. Joe Morts etc. Went back in 2007 ?what happened. The market is not the same. No fish stalls or tripe barrows. Missed the smell of the bacon in Redman's. Things aint what they used to be.
Littlepom.

Just looked at the series of photos covering the Market refurbishment - where am i going to get my toasted currant teacake bacon sarnie now? - one of the reasons for having a couple of weeks at home.

I went back in July 1998, was terribly disapointed, everything seemed to be dull as if the life had been sucked out of the old town. Took me a long time to find a stall at the back of the Market Hall which sold tripe. What ever happened to those tripe dressers at the side of the Hall. Isn't anything sacred anymore

The Flynn Family on Blackburn Rd ? If you are talking about 343 Blackburn rd nect to the Sacred Heart that would be my family. Is this the family you are talking about? how do you know them?
We lived there from 1969 -1988
