I remember him GC from when I was knee high to a grasshopper, which is many moons ago, if he is still ith us he must be in his 90s

I've allways thought the Archie Rice (Laurence Olivier)character in the film the Entertainer was based on him

me and my sister went to see him every year i can rember onyear when it rained and peter webster wastoo ill to do the show it was done inside and a replacment was on hand his name was ray davies yes the one from the kinks that was the last time i went peter webster died some time after (happy days)
