washing
 
i saw somthing today that i havent seen for a long time,
washing hung out in a back street, i can remember when every monday morning all the backs full of washing, if you did that now it would be there one minute gone the next.:)

Mine gets hung in the back because my yard was covered to make a garage. You are quite right Tosh I have had stuff stolen but more name stuff of the kids.

I remember when washing was hung on the front street too...There was a line between two houses facing each other,,,and i remember my gran using a dolly blue to make her whites the cleanest,,,she wasent going to be shown up ,,,,,:) :)by her neighbours

my gran had a dollytub and scubing board, and a old gas boiler.

If you want to see washing hung on the street have a trip to Todmorden.,Lots of it out that way and sheep in front gardens and the middle of the road.
