Commodore 64!!!
Cmon, admit it. YOU ALL OWNED ONE at some point in your life.
Question is...what game did you MOSTLY play on? Me, it would have to be T2-Judgement day or Football manager 2 |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
did it take tapes?
I remember playing a game.....think the guy on it was called billy i dunno, ive slept since then |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
I had a VIC 20, its predecesor ( Couldn't afford a C64 back then )
You can download emulators for PCs and even phones now to play all teh old games. On my mates I liked "attack of the mutant camels" and "revenge of the mutant camels " by Jeff Minter( strange how a name sticks in your memory, thats been in there for nearly 20 yeras now!) May the fleas of a thousand camels infect your armpits forever!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D |

Re: Commodore 64!!!
We used to have a VIC-20 too. My dad bought this book on how to program the v-20 to let you play games using the run:/ thingimajiggi!
We used to sit up all night playing russian roulette lol |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
We ZX Sinclair+2. It had its own built in tape recorder. Favourite games were Leapfrog and Scrabble.
Son taught himself to programme on it from a book! |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
I had a Spectrum 48k, which was a modded upgrade to the original 16k. I was so proud.
Later on I got an original beige coloured Commodore 64 and loved playing Bruce Lee on it. It was like a two player game and loads of fun. :D |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
My brother and I shared a 64, I used to love playing a game on it but i can't remember what it was called. It was this little man thingy that climbed the steps up the side of a tower, Had to dodge stuff to get to the top. I never got much further than that so can't discribe any more, lol.

Ahwell, guess its back to guitar hero 3 when i get home lol
Wow, can you imagine back then how we'd of thought to wireless guitar game lol |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
probably the same as we would have thought about playing Doom etc on a device that fits in my pocket that can tell me where I am in teh world, access information in an instant, communicate with people teh world over as if talking to them stood next to them, that can play over > 1000 LPs worth of songsand take videos of better quality than my new fangled VCR.
:D Technology aint it brilliant!!!! |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
i still have a fully working commodore 64 witha few games such as rambo , transformers and monty on the run
i have a few games for it on my pc which i run with an emulator and play the old snes games etc on my xbox from time to time but you just cant beat the new consoles like the 360 :D |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
My favorite, although not a game, was Flight Simulator, now acquired by our computer god Mr.Microsoft.It is still the same program today using many of the original airfields.vor's and ndb's.Amazing what could be done with 39k of free ram.I was a bit upmarket with an external disk drive that held about 180K.The earlier tape machine would take 10 mins.or more to load a program but the drive would do it in maybe 1 min.I did some animations and titles for video editing as the machine had a Pal tv output as S video(ie. luminance and chrominance separated) and my video machine was S.The titles were written in Basic, but I am afraid that I have not progressed beyond that.

Re: Commodore 64!!!
do you remember on the helicoptor level on rambo if you put another joypad in and pulled down on one and pressed up on the other it gave you turbo boost making fly over the entire level
on montey on the run if you typed i want to cheat instead of your name it would come up with yes um boss and you couldnt die but if you fell between two of the raised platforms you couldnt jump out so had to end the game , you could also put a code in to get the sinclair c5 wheneve r you wanted it instead of walking lol on ghost and ghouls if you shot the first headstone repeatedly for 60 seconds or somthing it made you invincable when it came to copying games if we couldnt get our hands on a twin tape system we used to hold a microphone to the speaker and recorded it on another system and if you just got the record level right and everyone kept quiet they usualy worked lol |
Re: Commodore 64!!!
