Left AGS 41 years ago. I can still hear Ralph Bailey's parting words as if it were yesterday, "Mark my words, you'll come to a bad end!"

Not lived up to his expectations yet, but definitely still working on it. ;)

I was one of the border-line kids and started off at Moor End, then the main Rhyddings School followed by the Tech.

Neither parent ever too me to school but I did get the fare to catch the bus at the bottom of Holland Street.

Do you not read other peoples answers to your thread or do you need a direct insult?

It was called St Andrews when I was a lad cherokee, but I think the area it was in (bottom of Kay St. I think) was known as Hippings Vale, could be something to do with the mill which stood opposite at one time, but only the ruins was still their in my youth, maybe some of our historians might shed some light on it:confused:

Strange teachers. Mr.Howell the woodwork teacher at Ossy Tech back in the 60's once knocked me clean over a bench for something he though I did before the end of class???? To this day not a clue what it was but it was the 1st time I took a proper punch to the chin????
