1967 to 1972, can remember any John living on Eagle St in those days except ME:D as for pigeon fancier, there were pens at the front owned by John Ormerod Sen and one outback owned by a father and son team, can't remember their name but all three were into pigeons

On Whalley Road on the second floor of that red brick building where Catlows was. Started in summer, 1967 and I was one of the first members. You went through a little doorway and up a flight of stairs. They had that strange luminous lighting that made the pass out stamp on your hand glow - cracking music though!

Probably wouldn't have appealed to you - no alcohol served. ;) I was only about 16-17 when I went there...moved on to licensed venues a couple of years later! :D

Hi Jaysay, used to go in the Bull qiute often, remember Ernie Gribble and his wife, wonderful couple of people, always remember Ernies cardigans, and the NAME of the way to the toilets, can you remember ??
His son would have played cricket with you and Pete Shorrock and his other son was in the army,
Also embedded in my memory Jack Kirby a great guy and Terry Woods missed his way as a dart player off Eagle St

Re: Old Dj's

Who can ever forget Accy Disco. It took over in popularity from from The Con. for the younger end. It was the centre of activity for the Accy Mods. It was here that we heard all the latest soul and Motown imports. Getting your hand stamped at 9 o'clock and going either to The Hope and Anchor or The Broadway for a pint (underage)
Trapping off with a bird and going up "The ragshop back" but thats another story. No wonder I have dodgy knees.

Must have missed this post when it was first posted. Both Jack and Terry lived on Eagle Street Terry was my next door neighbour, Jack lived across the road at number 3, Jack worked with a partner back in those days, Jim Riley, who's now my neighbour today, We all worked on demolishing the old wooden stand at Peel Park back in the late sixties. Ya Terry was one hell of a darts player, haven't seen him for years but I think he still lives in the same house saw his wife Roz a couple of years back in accy, ya and that sign leading to the toilets, if I remember rightly it just yar tis or something like:D

Anyone remember the DJ at the young person rock disco Peepers behind Blackburn museum.in the 70s .Think he was called Jeff and worked for king Georges hall or Blackburn council..

Would love to make a rock compliation of the athems he played.Would like to contact him for his own memories.if anyone knows how...reason is that theres are radio stations playing a hour of your song choices if they like em One called Planet rock) has taken a shine to my 70s stuff but they like a story as to why you picked em.

Want to send in a Peepers list, (I remember about 20 of em cos I bought em)Have you any memories of the songs they played..
