Eric, I can remember catching a corporation bus from the Forts Arms Clayton right to Peel Park to watch Stanley in the old third division north and then getting the bus out of Manor St back. The bus was standing room only and the conductor never managed to collect all the fares, as long as you could get as near to the front upstairs. |
