The Empire was a small cinema in my teens, pub on one corner of the alley and I think a bank on the other corner

Well I spent a lot of time in the con up to it being sold in the early nineties, the chap that bought it was going to do it all up, but I had my doubts at the time it needed around half a million spending on it then, and that was just to cure the dry rot, the basement and cellars where riddled with, I honestly don't think anything was even attempted to cure the dry rot, it must be a very very dangerous place to go unaccompanied, especially if your only a youngster

I will be attending my first ever accy stanley match tomorrow. Pilkingtons bus driver gave me 2 free tickets for plymouth vs stanley as he cant go cuz hes working tomorrow. Main stand. They better impress me or i will never go again. |
