Hyndburn road pub
 
What was the pub on hyndburn road called, we lived at 53 till about 1975, and great gran lived few doors up nearer to pub, it was accross from the entrance to the lodge?
Any ideas?

The Union Inn another lion house, used to go out wi landlords daughter.

Cracking little pub! A regular part of my itinerary (Langs Arms - Palatine - Union) on my way into town.

It was not facing the entrance to the lodge by the way, it was virtually facing the road into the Ewbank, Bottom corner of Oxford St, left hand side down, The doorway was around corner on Hyndburn Rd.

memory not that good, i just remember living accross from lodge, and pub on corner, i was 4 when we moved, could have even been next block up, as i say we was at 53 so if anyone can remember, i remember the ewbank though

A friend of mine lived on that block, but back then she was me friends sister,Can't remember number, but think twas 5/6 doors before the pub.

I'm going back to very early 60s here, so twas before yeh were born, I saw Loretta last week in town, no doubt she would remember yer mam n dad cos they lived yon fer many years.

Cashy is that Loretta who used to be a dinner lady up at moorhead? Little woman, always had blonde short hair? Must be in her 70's now, lives up Ribblesdale avenue way

Not sure if she was at moorhead, but she does live that way, used to go wi her younger sis back in the day.:)Think approx 70 now.;) still goes bopping up pop club.
