Paper Rounds; Jeff Cronshaws Newsagents!

Do they still have paper rounds? I suppose they must have in some areas.

Anyone remember Jeff Cronshaws paper shop on Stanley street Junction with Clarendon Street. I had a paper round there.

When I was 16, still at school and taking papers for the shop top of Russia St on Blackburn Rd. then called Moore's, previously Banks' , I bought my first suit from John Collier's - a charcoal grey one., with my Xmas tips. Cost £11 I had started taking papers at 13yrs - the legal age then. Even now I cannot pick a paper up without folding it as if to put it through a letter box.

Heth - I have a friend who is descended from Accrington Cronshaws They lived in Elephant St and were members of New Jerusalem Church. One of them was sent to an asylum. If it transpires that Geoff might be related to this friend, please let me know and I'll put them in touch.
