Euro symbol to Keyboard
 
anyone know an easy way for me to "add" the Euro currency and British Pound symbols to my keyboard, for when I'm using email and instant messanger , (currently have the $ symbol on upper case 4 )

The € symbol may work if you hit Ctrl Alt and 4 at the same time. It does on mine. The £ is an upper case 3 on mine.

Hmm maybe the US keyboard isn't as versatile as ours then because we have the $ symbol as well as the € and the £.

Will it not work using that but with the £ symbol key as opposite to ours using $??

There might be a key combination that will do it. If I find out I'll let you know.

I guess each country has a different keyboard layout , I was in Germany recently and trying to use my son-in-laws PC was a nightmare , keys in different places and even extra letters (German alphabet has more than 26 letters) .

I have a US keyboard and on mine the euro is alt-2, €.

I wondered how they got the umlauts in Germany. I suppose they must have the same for accented letters in France.

its on the installation option for germany and france for the dots and the hyphen things

as for the euro installer - hold up i'm sure there was one somewhere

AltGr+5

my keyboard in OZ has the $ symbol.......but sometimes I wish to type a pound symbol too.......:(
