Are you on AOL? Have you changed from dial up to broadband?

Re: Virtual Truck
I once had a similar problem and was instructed to do the following, but be carefull. If you are unsure about this then wait for entwisi to reply ( recommended).
Click Start, click Run. Enter msconfig and click OK. Click tab Win.ini to bring it to the front. Click the [+] sign beside [windows] to expand this item. If you see an entry run= involving \vtagent\reboot.exe, then uncheck it. Click OK to exit the System Configuration Utility. :) |

Re: Virtual Truck
Thanks all. Shall wait a for a day or two before doing anything Neil.
Not on dial up Willow, but some how i disabled my bb connection last night and couldn't enable it again. Rang help desk this afternoon and following their instructions got it enabled again. But ever since keep getting that message up. Think it could be something to do with instead of ringing help desk straight away i tried to re-load my bb, but got called away half way and just cancelled what i was doing. |
Re: Virtual Truck
Well that sounds like it could be it - because people have had it when they changed to BB from dial-up and hadn't removed all the old stuff so maybe yours is because you half installed it and then totally installed it.
Did you check out my link? |

Re: Virtual Truck

Re: Virtual Truck
I am using Firefox. Did I forget to tell you to scroll to the bottom? Sorry.
Comment from owensleftfoot Date: 01/15/2003 03:00PM PST Comment There could be a couple of reasons for this. Virtual truck install may be called from the startup group, registry, system.ini of win.ini. To Fix this problem download Mike Lin's Home Page which is free and will show you what programs load at strtup and allow you to remove the bad entry. Another reason could be that somehow there is a file called autorun.inf (used to automatically run an install program on a cdrom) in the root directory of your f: drive. If this is your problem deleting the file will fix your problem. Comment from nathanhudson13 Date: 01/15/2003 03:01PM PST Comment Hope this helps: To repair this situation under Windows 98/ME: Click Start, click Run. Enter msconfig and click OK. Click tab Win.ini to bring it to the front. Click the [+] sign beside [windows] to expand this item. If you see an entry run= involving \vtagent\reboot.exe, then uncheck it. Click OK to exit the System Configuration Utility. Keep me posted :) Comment from nathanhudson13 Date: 01/15/2003 03:02PM PST Comment This is a cable modem error Comment from nathanhudson13 Date: 01/15/2003 03:03PM PST Comment Should i say cable modem driven error. Re: Virtual Truck
Now that's weird Neil because when I look at the page with Firefox (the browser I usully use) and scroll down to the bottom the actual bottom is not there. It ends with the bit which is about halfway down the IE page. That's why I said you needed to subscribe to get to the answer - I couldn't see any more beyond "ASK AN EXPERT NOW" until I looked using IE. :idunno:
