The lap top is constantly plugged in, so he presumed the battery would not be drained. However it has died on him, after he left it on charge over night he got about 5 mins worth of time before it shuts down. It would appear that when the lap top is powerd on and starts to boot it no longer registers that its plugged in to the mains as the AC light goes off, as soon as it shuts down the AC light comes back on. We had a quick look in BIOS but couldnt really see anything relation to power but didnt want to guess at changing things as this could make it worse. Also tried with the battery removed, when you press the power button it just flashes and will not boot although it shows three is power going into it as the lights are on. |
