Whats the problem with it.

PS2 are pretty cheap to get hold of now, and with the PS3 coming out they will probably drop even more.

Might just be worth getting a 2nd hand one that fixing yours.

I dont know whats specifically wrong however it loads up fine and the screen comes on but then it doesnt load the game or anything tried about 20 games and doesnt work on any! Everytime a game goes in you can hear a clicking noise. Need someone to fix it if anyone knows of such a person.

As daft as it sounds have you tried to load a game with it.

Upside down or on its side?

We had exactly the same problem with ours last summer. I found a website which told you how to pull it to bits and clean it. Having followed the instructions to the letter, three times, it still didn't work.

It was almost five years old and had served us well. My daughter sent us one of the new slim line ones for Xmas. Bless her!

I really wish I could help, mate. I seem to remember that my brother had some problems with his. He lives in Ossy. I'll ring him tomorrow and ask, but please don't build your hopes up.

One of mine did a similar thing.Got told the lens needed a good clean. Not with one of them cleaning discs though. If its an old type playstation its a bit trickier and I wouldnt attempt it myself. But if you have a slimline lift the lid and clean the lens with alcohol(not beer LOL).
