Another techie problem
 
Being a stupid computer phobe has it's downsides and this is one of them !
I just tried to look at the pdf that Uncle Mick put on General Chat about panopticons.... I click on open, it downloads file and then when I go to look at said file there is nothing in it ; the egg timer thing goes round as if its going to do something then it goes back to the previous screen.
Help.......

have you got Adobe Acrobat reader installed? You will need it to open the PDF

Thanks Mr D ! I have now installed Adobe acrobat and it works ! I got it from another site though as I didn't want to pay for it ! ;)
My old pc had it on and I just assumed this one did too ! ( Doh !)

yes its safe and adobe reader is always free. its teh full adobe suite that costs money.

Seems fine ! Can't remember where it was ; I just Googled "adobe acrobat free " and followed the instructions !:D
