Heya i have a really old camera i found and want to get pictures off. However i found the software disc but unfortunatly isnt working because its so scratched. My camera is a Goodmans g-shot 2025. I tired to download a driver but it doesnt work and cant get it to work :( It just keeps going to adobe reader however i was wondering if anyone knows of a site where i can download this data or if anyone has this software disc and can post a link on here from a file hosting website so i can download it. for e.g File Sharing

Lol , tried that driver , doesnt do anything , open it then it sends it to adobe reader and then that says it cant read it :S Could do with the software if anyone has it :)

could you not try and get the disc fixed? game station have a disk fixer thingy.....

Have you tried connecting the camera to the PC? does it not show up as a usb device?

Yes comes up in the right hand bottom corner saying the cameras name. But cant access pictures.

might be a bit of a sledgehammer but download a knoppix or Ubuntu Linux live CD, boot from it and plug the camera in. There is a good chance it will recognise it and load teh pictures for it. You can then save them to either a memory stick or cd or whatever

you could try scratch busters if they cant fix it they wont charge you

It sounds like you have the file associations mixed up.
Have you opened the zip file. If not XP has compressed folders that can open the zip.
Once the zip has been extracted you have the inf files (the drivers), you can then install the drivers via Device Manager, just point the wizard at the folder.

I've just rattled this together, I'm not a teacher so I hope you can follow it.

Im sorry redash havent been on today and guess what came through the post this morning! A software cd!! Whooo! i emailed 3 people at goodmans and two of them said i had to pay £12 so i thought you can ****** that however today in the post a nice lady from goodmans sent me a disc and a hand written letter , i thought how nice of her! And now ive got my pictures , but thanks redash :)
