Why is IE slower than firefox? I've noticed this cos i had to download firefox because Aohell had cocked up IE and had to scrub it and download it again well chav did ... Just curious...

Re: Firefox and IE

teh rendering engine in firefox is a lot better( being open source as well) and have far more developers working on it.

If you want fast try Dillo. its a low featured browser but it absolutely flies!!!

Re: Firefox and IE

Try giving Google Chrome a go. It is ridiculously fast and lightweight and apparently if a webpage crashes only the tab crashes rather than the entire application.

Google Chrome - Download a new browser

Beechy, its more likely that you have a dodgy install. Is it on specific sites? could be flash or shockwave thats broken and is taking out the browser?
