Anyone know how to install 3rd party wireless driver (intel 4965AGN)
would be grateful for any help, have downloaded the driver but dont know how to install it using Linux :)

You could always install Windows, then you'll get no more of this nonsense:p many on here will agree, I'm sure:rolleyes:

can you not load it using ubuntu gui ? linux ix an utter pain if u dont know how to do it, when i get home ill dig my linux book out but if u have no experiance in working in a linux shell its a nightmare

what type of file is it? .tar.gz .deb or what?


I believe its in the kernel from gusty anyway. what version of Ubuntu are you running?

NDISWrapper listed above is one way but it is better to use it in Native mode if possible.

In case you don't understand, NDISWRAPPER is an emulation layer that allows you to use NDIS complient drivers under Linux (people often make the mistake of saying it uses Windows drivers, thats not an accurate description as windows happens to also use NDIS complient drivers)
