I know this should be on the computer thread, but thought it would get to a wider audience here.
Found this recommedation on another site.

Its Free and it works, you would'nt believe the crap it cleaned out of my computer, it now goes like sh1t of a shovel, and it creates a restore point first. Make sure you download the correct program.

Thanks Retlaw - I got it a couple of days earlier and have been doing comparisons. It appears to be more effective than Spybot and Adaware, but I am still running AVG. Zone Alarm is a bit of a grag initially as you have to authorise so many items but seems to be very, very effective

Which is ok if you have enough understanding of these things to know what is safe to authorise and what is not.

That is the biggest problem with a lot of these programs, they rely on the person in front of the PC to understand what they are doing and most of us don't.

i have it sorted .. if anything goes wrong its ring a friend time ... the worst thing is i have to make a brew ready and waiting for him ....:D:D:D

i agree im lost and worried in case i cause more harm
