Windows down load

There was a windows update downloaded over night, but when my laptop restarted to finish installation this morning it would go past the welcome screen. I eventually started it up in safe mode and turned it back to prior the update, started first time, anybody else had the same problem

Re: Windows down load

sorry Retlaw, that is REALLY a silly thing to do.

when it gets to teh point that both Germany and France issue a national warning to not use Internet explorer due to security issues with it then I'm afraid if you really MUST use Windows then you need every single sodding patch they issue to try and keep you safe.

I had lots of problems with these down loads, kept having to go into safe mode to sort it out. Its a Dell laptop, so I ran their diagnostics program and law and behold it sorted it out quick style, its just tickety boo now:mosher:
