Help .. it going to cost me money!!!
Ok .. me doing spugs a big favour on sunday did his washing for him ... me being me .. checked his jeans pockets for any rubbish .. picked out a receipt .. nowt else .. then threw everything else in the washer ..
BIG MISTAKE .... well i didnt know he'd left his MP3 player in his SHIRT pocket .. i dont have pockets on shirts .. or if i do i dont use em .. so his MP3 player has gone through the washing machine AND the dryer .. so how long does it take to dry out .. or how the hell does he get it working again .. cos otherwise this is going to cost me .. a new MP3 player .. and possibly knowing him he'd want an Ipod this time ... :D:D:D HELP!!!! :D:D:D |
Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!
stick it in front of the fire or on top of a towel on a radiator Jen, mp3's aren't expensive anymore, you can pick some up for well under £20 if needs be, mine was only £12 and thats a 3 gig one

Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!
Do NOT switch it on,remove the battery and leave the cover off.Turn over to remove surplus water.Put into a warm but never hot place like an airing cupboard and leave for several days, the longer the better.,then with this type of equipment all should be well--good luck.

Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!
As the others said jen, put it somewhere warm without battery if you can.
Not somewhere too hot, just warm enough to evaporate the water. As long as it is not turned on when when then it should work fine afterwards. My USB sticks are often washed for me & they still work :D |
Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!
ok he stuck it in a sock on the radiator last night .. and it works .. still a few problems with the screen but it works .. thank you all ..
well he says it works .. do you honestly think he'd let me touch it ..:D:D:D |
Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!

Yes when a man puts things ready for wash women should do the job right and check through all clothing to make sure there is nothing left in the pockets like money, red hankies or mp3 players.
And then hand them back especially money:tongueout:D:hidewall: |
Re: Help .. it going to cost me money!!!

Well I buggered it up big time so consigned to the bin (lost my rag with it) in several bits. Managed to save what I had on it so need to save for another.
