Bluetooth dongle anyone???
If anyone is wanting a USB2 compliant bluetooth dongle, they are available at Poundworld in Accy centre. (Not Poundland).
And they are only £1. Cheapest I have ever seen. Just got a few so the family can access their phones without a cable. |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???

Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
I will be rushing in tomorrow to get one at that price,...Thank's Matty.......Tony

Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
I got 2 & will get a couple more next week.
As Bluetooth has been missed off my laptop & the rest of the families PC's I might as well give them the facility to talk to their phones. |

DealExtreme: Cool Gadgets at the Right Price - Site-Wide Free Shipping (Page 1) do them all the time for 2$ delivered which is similar and less if you take the bus fare of going to town into consideration |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???

|
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
or a free bus pass ..:D:D:D
|
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
And you can get it this week, from dealextreme it would normally take 2 weeks to arrive.
At the moment its just not coming at all :D (I already have a DX one). |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Apparently you can use "internet connection sharing" via bluetooth - so this might be an alternative to shelling out on a wireless router if you want to cheaply connect your laptop to an internet connection that's being monopolised by (say) a desktop PC.
It's probably not up to the job of multiplayer games, and range might be limited to one room if you live in a real Lancashire house instead of one of these modern things with papier-mâché walls. |

i tend to find DX stuff normally comes in a week i was offering an alternative to when these are no longer available. as for ICS, its possible but windows does struggle to dns properly through it. i have set it up a couple of times and each time ended up setting routing and dns manually. there is also different standards of BT, 1.1 is much slower than 2.0 |

I bet nowt will be coming from DX within the next few weeks :D

Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
I use BT quite a lot for sharing stuff, its surprisingly good if you have BT 2.0 capable devices at both ends.

Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Oh dear, all gone today.
There was 2 rows of them on Friday. I bet they are on a market stall for £3 each soon. |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
They are back in.
And if anyone plays the drums on their Xbox/Wii/PS2-3 then Poundland have RockBand official drumsticks in. |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Old thread but I just bought one of these beauties again today since my niece lost mine Then I went to Tesco to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse and I saw Tescos dongle for around £15. Deal of the month for sure!
The beauty of it is; they actually work!! OH deal extreme. Great site. I got my sata/ide adapters from there so I could put a 1TB HDD in my xbox1-- Extremely hard to find in shops! One shop said 'they don't exist' |

You said you saw a Tesco dongle for £15, that's very expensive. Did you mean you got the whole lot, keyboard and mouse as well. Then that is a bargain. I bought a micro blue tooth dongle from Amazon when I bought some other goods and it was £1.50, free delivery. |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Bluetooth dongle from poundland £1
Its £6 on the Tesco site. Perhaps it was priced wrong The keyboard and mouse I got from Tesco £25(it was £20 when I scanned it). Worked no problems. Can trust Logitech. They make a good keyboard. |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
These bluetooth devices are really good, we've had a couple, the only problem i find with them is that you have to transfer files one at once...eg..pics from your phone to the computer, it takes ages, the more expensive one i had you could transfer a lot of pics all at once without having to 'recieve' seperate files all the time on the computer
|
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Oh I haven't tried that. TBH I have never had the need for transferring several files at once. I am now wondering if the dongle is 2.0USB
My reason for buying one is I hope that I can get my ps3 pad working on the PC |
Re: Bluetooth dongle anyone???
Well I tried the bluetooth adapter with the ps3 pad. The software says it is connected but no response. In the bluetooth diagnostics list in that bluetooth controller software. Lots of support features are not available.
