Legal copies?
My computer went to the shop a few months ago for him to update it to Windows 7. Everything has been fine until tonight when itīs decided that my Windows isnīt legal.
I have this number but Iīm not sure where to put it! A little help would be very welcome x |
Re: Legal copies?
probably installed a dodgy copy and obviously didnt hear about the update that came out a few months ago in america then was launched not long ago in teh UK that detects pirated copies
you can sort this but then you will have to leave automatic update switched off and be carefull what updates you install afterwards which shop was it ? i dont ahve a problem with peopel using pirated copies but you shoudl at leats have been informed it was pirate so you coudl make an informed choice |
Re: Legal copies?
Did the shop charge you for puttingWin7 on?
If so how much? IMO if they did then you should be able to take it back and get them to sort it out. Otherwise they would have to admit to using a illegal copy & that could get them into big trouble if you grass them up to trading standards. |

Re: Legal copies?
A "This copy of Windows is not genuine" warning does not always mean you have a pirate copy installed...it may just be the wrong type.. if you have a multilingual pack installed it is not supported on the following editions of wndows 7
Starter Home Basic Home Premium Professional you might be able to fix it form microsoft support from this link: "This copy of Windows is not genuine" warning when MUI packs are installed in Windows 7 |
Re: Legal copies?
lol, did not notice that....
IN that case get a crack... lol |
Re: Legal copies?
