Question about using AVG anti virus program
Hope someone can help me out here , been having problems for the last few days with my PC locking up/not responding. cleaned out my temporary files folder (clicked all the boxes including cookies) .
Have AVG and Malwarebytes installed and set to run every 24 hours , this morning ran Malwarebytes in full mode and it showed up 10 files which I/it deleted, then I decided to run AVG in full computer scan mode, after 2 hours plus it showed the results of over 600 tracking cookies , which 'it' told me they had either been healed or moved to the virus vault . Couple of questions , 1 , Shouldn't the tracking cookies have been removed when I ran 'disk clean up' of the temorary files folder ? 2 , Re. AVG , how do I clean out/delete the 600 plus tracking cookies which have been sent to the "virus vault' couldn't see a delete option Thanks |
Re: Question about using AVG anti virus program
Click on 'History' at the top of the Avg window, then click 'Virus vault' in the drop down list, you will then see an option to 'empty vault'
PS running two different programmes which are designed to do the same function can cause problems. I don't know anything about Malwarebytes, so can't make an informed comment about it. |
Re: Question about using AVG anti virus program
