Have just got an android 4.2 tablet and can't get skype to load. Have tried downloading from various apps including the android version from skype. Can't even get the echo test to work - it keeps going back to the contacts list. Attempts to video call the tablet from laptop just gives the skype (on tablet) a blue screen. Please can anyone help?

Which tablet is it?
The only app I would try would be from Google Play store, was it in the Play store and what happened when you tried that version?

Imedia Blaze 9". Android 4.2.1 Operating System.
Have tried the app from Google Play store and I only get my contacts list but there are no icons to make a call or message anyone. The icon for the echo test isn't there either.
Have tried calling a contact on the the tablet from my laptop and the tablet screen just goes blue.
