Computer Freeze

My sister in law has a computer about 2 years old...windows xp,40 gig hdd......when she turns on the computer it just freezes, she cannot get on the internet, its not her broadband connection.
When she clicks on something it takes about 10-15 mins to load so she tells me.

I was thinking could it be the processor that is kaput?
I am no expert so some of you might have some other ideas.

I can be contacted on email.......... [email protected]

......or at the website on my sig.

Thank you

Jason

Re: Computer Freeze

If the CPU was duff you would be unlikely to boot up at all. It is more likely to be riddled with viruses/trojans and spyware. Find out what AV/Firewall etc she has and when they were last updated.
