Re: Help!!!!!

From main site, menu at top, download drivers

I must admit to not knowing a Nvidia Vanta, (Quick google) Oooooo, its an old ****** that one! Errrr, its based on TNT chipset but the latest drivers release notes doesn't mention any TNT cards being supported anymore.

What OS are you running (XP/Me/98)? and why do you think you need to update them?

Re: Help!!!!!

OK, download the normal Nvidia drivers for XP (follow geforce links) but you may find they don't work properly. It could be that your OS is actually too advanced for the card as the manufacturers don't seem to support it any more so haven't written updated drivers suitable for XP.

This is really going to blow your head but is the card PCI or AGP? Its that old it could be PCI (not PCI-e for the latest and greatest but the slow old standard PCI) or it may be early AGP

TBH a new Gfx card with far better performance should cost no more than a tenner second hand. I have an old Voodoo 3 somewhere that even does TV in/out that you can have but its AGP so you need to check if your motherboard can take it.

Re: Help!!!!!

motherboard old only have pci slot no AGP.

have not got new mother board... cos have a lot of SD ram in it, and I cannot find a cheap mother board that will take SD memory 1.8 prossessor AMD with a AGP slot............

Re: Help!!!!!

You may as well try the Nvida ones anyway, at worst, boot in safe mode and swap back to VGA mode.
