Re: Free laptop
We pay £30 quid for aol (platinum) which is rediculous however weve had no problems with it for 3-4 years so we havent changed it. However do you think we could get a free laptop from this if we say that we will stop if we dont and carry on if we get one

Re: Free laptop
Busman and I were talking abut this free laptop business the other day and can't help wondering what the catch is.

Re: Free laptop
Im guessing the "catch" is that you have to stay in a 2 year contract with a broadband line that is only up to 2Mb in speed and has a 15GB download/upload limit.
Where as im paying £24.50 for 20Mb and Unlimited downloads but no free laptop. But the same company do broadband with 8Mb speed and Unlimited downloads but still only £19.50. So for the additional £4.50 a month you have unlimited amount of things you can download and you can download them 4x as fast :D I suppose its good if someones in need of a cheap laptop. But I think it might sting you if in a years time broadband suppliers start cutting prices and you're still stuck with another years contract... |
Re: Free laptop
i suppose it works as a new mobile on contract would, free phone if you sign up
|
Re: Free laptop
Could i unsign then resign again to get the laptop as im paying £30 a month with aol.

"Speeds may vary substantially depending on the quality of your phone line and where you live. BT line required, subject to local availability and line survey. Subject to satisfactory credit check. Further conditions apply. Offer not available to existing AOL Broadband customers still in their minimum contract period. Standard laptop delivery charge of £14.99 applies. 24 month contract applies" As long as your out of your contract period you should qualify |
Re: Free laptop
Ill just unsign with them and then resign and we do £30 so more then the minumum spend
