How Much Is Sky?
Anybody got full package with Sky? Was just wondering how much it is per month and is it worth it in your opinion?
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
we have the full package which I think is £46 per month but also pay £10 per month extra for multiroom and £10 for skyplus.
I think it's worth it saying that I'm constantly on the sports channels mainly for the football and the kids are always on the childrens channels I'm not particularly into films so probably dont get value there is a lot of rubbish on sky however have found both the multiroom and the skyplus very useful For the number of hours we use sky I think its worth it |
Re: How Much Is Sky?
Think it could be worth the extra tenner for the multi room option. Another one for you, can you only get multi room with full package?
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
Ours is £43 per month...and I don't think it is worth that kind of money, but then I do not get to watch much because hubby has control of the zapper...and that means we watch what he finds interesting.....which bores the proverbials off me......sport and more sport.
Which is why I spend most of my time on the 'net. I would get rid of it in a flash if I had my way......and himself is always complaining that there is nothing on. How can you have so many channels to watch and find nothing that interests you???????? |
Re: How Much Is Sky?
Bernie, there is a woman stands outside WH Smiths trying to entice people into getting Sky TV.......she would be able to answer all these Qs for you.
Have a chat to her next time you are in town. |

I guess you are right...i know my hubby had a 'sound off' at her because we eel that the service isn't as good as it used to be.....but he still won't give it up!

Re: How Much Is Sky?
You could always check online either.

Re: How Much Is Sky?
I pay £35 a month for my phone/broadband through sky & the full sky package - sports and all!..I got a good deal for leaving virgin media...although that offer runs out in 3months time ! - it then goes up to £46 which I am happy to pay to be honest..
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
I've just asked the fella downstairs if Sky has gone up to £46.......and he went all defensive and siad it is 'all he has...and the newspapers cost £36 per month' I told him at least I get a look in with the newspapers.
See Bernie, you are causing a domestic :D |
Re: How Much Is Sky?
Sorry Margaret, that was not my intention a you well know. Ian is looking on-line now, I was really just after some feedback from existing customers.
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
We have had sky, now we have Virgin. Can't tell you how much it is except whatever it costs it is NOT worth it.
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
To be really honest with you i think its the installation fees that are not worth it really you pay something like 135 pound for that then your monthly bill then depending on if your getting sky plus and were u go for it thats about 50 pound to 100 pound

I hope Ian gets some enjoyment out of it. I think he may do if he has to spend time resting. |

Re: How Much Is Sky?
Don't know if you have to have the full package to start with multi-room, but my neighbour has it and only pays 15 for the package and 10 for multi-room.......hope that helps.
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
If you don't want to watch different channels in different rooms you don't need multiroom. Get an AV sender and you can watch the main box in another room.

Re: How Much Is Sky?
If Sky is anything like what I get .... movies, sports, news, super stations etc. ... then there is a lot of crap in the bundles they offer. You have to take some junk in oreder to get the stuff you want. I suppose that if the price is ok, one can put up with it. I pay about $90 for tv., internet, and phone. I get some little goodies like call display, visual call waiting, and free long distance in Canada and the continental US, and probably some other stuff I don't use.
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
As you say Eric to get the decent stuff you'll probably also get quite a lot you don't want.

Re: How Much Is Sky?
As little as £16 a month – packages range from £16 - £45 a month.
|
Re: How Much Is Sky?
You don't pay the £10 per month for Sky+ anymore. If you go for it, definitely get the Sky+ option. It'll change the way you watch TV forever.
I pay £38 per month for the full package, minus the Movies. I used the have the full thing, but stopped receiving the Movies. I also looked into cutting back on some of the other channels, but it was only saving me £1 per month, so decided I might as well keep them. |
Re: How Much Is Sky?
We have gone for the full package plus multi-room. There is no way I am watching sport all the time!!!

Re: How Much Is Sky?
Anyway I am off to watch Perfect Stranger on Spanish Satellite. I give Murdoch enough already.
Or maybe The Good German I watched Crank again this morning, i think it is a cracking action film but I am a little odd. I enjoyed Apocalypto as well the other week I also enjoyed Blood Diamond, worth a watch if you have the time, it is almost 2.5 hours long |

Re: How Much Is Sky?
I used to pay for subscription channels - now I just watch the free ones - enough for me. I have freeview as a backup because my Sky signal fails fairly often due to rain, snow, and trees (when in full leaf)
That is one good reason why I will never consider having Sky broadband - too much at the mercy of the elements |
Re: How Much Is Sky?
Margaret, Sky broadband comes in via your phone line, not your satellite dish :D
No elements can get in its way! |
