Sky+ remote tip

May be just me that has never bothered to read the manual but up till recently it always bugged me that the Sky+ planner didn't use page up/down buttons(Gree/Red) like the usual TV Guide.

Anyway, Accidentally I found that the channel up/down rocker on the righ does just that both on the normal TV Guide and the Sky+ planner.

Re: Sky+ remote tip

If you unsubscribe to Sky will your Sky plus still work on the free channels like BBC etc?

I think you could test it by taking the Sky card out.

I ask because you always used to have to pay extra monthly for having sky+. Paying extra to be able to record a program is a con IMHO

You don't pay extra as long as you have any standard sky package. It won't work in 'freesat mode' The data is saved in a format that requires teh card to playback.

Hence my thoughts on Dreambox
