I presume you have checked the wiring and that it hasnt come loose.
I used to work with a bloke who did a stint at pc world he told me some of the things they used to do which is why he left -
eg replacing the battery on a motherboard with one of those you get from the pound shop ( well he said it was less than a pound but the same as those you get from the pound shop) and charging £30 PLUS FOR THE PLEASURE OF DOING IT .

They probably have a minimum charge for opening up the PC to do anything. They have to pay for those big shops somehow.

Talking of PC World, I needed a new printer so I decided what I wanted and checked out my usual places for price. I ended up reserving it at PC World and collecting it. It was £62 which was only a couple of quid dearer than Ebuyer with the postage and I got it then and there. The in store price was £79.99 so I saved £17.99 with a few mouse clicks :D:D:D.

Also if it goes faulty in warranty I can take it back without having to mess about with postage.

Re the slim silver round batteries, if you use a few then go to dealextreme.com, I got a sheet with 20 CR2032's on for £2.50 delivered from Hong Kong. Tesco sell 2 for £3.49 :D
