Some will, HDMI sockets are now being fitted to Tele's DVD Recorders and Computers, they are slowly replacing Scarts.

i have a brand new one here with the price still on it, i wont use it and its a shame to throw it away

You might need it when all the TV transmitters go digital, supposed to be at the end of this year.

You'l probably need a new tele or a digital box, and it will have HDMI sockets.

They are quite expensive & I can foresee you needing one, one day so maybe just stick it in a cupboard for another 12 months :D

you don't need one to go digital, you do need one to go HD.

They are as others say a 'shiny new' type of scart connection but one that supports High Definition connections. Without one ( Or another HD compatible connection) you lose the HD quality.

If you are thinking of getting a Xbox 360, PS3, blu ray DVD player and a HD TV in teh next couple of years then keep it.

If not I reckon you can easily get a fiver for it!

i kind of acquired it, was at the bus stop in Blackburn the other day and it had been left in a bagat the bus stop, so i took it (naughty me, i know)

like i said, its brand new, still has the price on, i doubt i'll be getting anything new in the next 100 years so i dont need it

I would have done the same........its just a shame they did`nt leave a 40" HD TV to go with it...............:D
