Slide scanner problem

As I needed to re-scan a few old slides of Priestley Clough Lodge I unearthed my Black Widow Scanner which has been in a drawer for at least 4-5 years and never used on my present PC. The installation disc rederred to Drivers for Windows 95 & 98 but I just bashed on. However, while the Prog loaded on attempting the first scan I got the following error messages.

1 -- Cannot load ASP1 layer driver.

2 -- Tvichw32 driver open error.

In fact, when I now Boot-Up the latter error message appears.

By the way -- although the text says I am doing this or that most of the actual computing and this typing is now done by my wife because of my worsening vision.

Hope some one can help as its too late in the day to consider a new scanner.

Bert Johnson. ( aka Owd Bert )
