BTBroadband

Have been having trouble with my Bt connection since 5-30pm last night, just lost the signal and only just got it back about 11am, but its still very slow, anybody else having problems

I have never had any trouble with my Bt Broadband until the last few weeks........it is slow and the signal drops out frequently in the evening.......sometimes for more than an hour.
I have stopped coming on here in an evening because of it.
It infuriates me to post something and then find that the signal has dropped out as I've posted and my post is gone into the ether.

Have you both reported your problems to BT?

I have had Home Hubs replaced before for people having these kinds of problems

No, I haven't......I haven't got a home hub......I just have a simple router.

Phone them anyway. You are paying for a service that you are not receiving. It is up to them to decide how to sort your problem out.

I suppose I should do that......and my daughter did suggest it.

Stop being so English and putting up with it.

That is coming from someone who is proud to be English by the way :D

Its the first time I've had a problem with mine Neil, but I don't use it at night like Margaret did. Have been of line since 12 noon and have just come back on and it seems to be fine now, but if I have anymore probs will definitely pone BT, as you say we're paying for a service, so why not

Re: BTBroadband

I get fed up and think I will complain, and then I get a couple of days when it is OK....like right now......hope I haven't jinxed it by saying that.

Re: BTBroadband

Report it anyway then as intermittant. It might be a line fault not a broadband fault.

Re: BTBroadband

had the same problem myself... the connection "drops".. in my case it does not disconnect but slows down so much that sometimes I get the "web page cannot load" stuff..I've called BT in the past and I have been told that the problem is with my PC.. OK... but my old PC went "ping" last week.. knackered.
I'm now on a new PC and it still happens!...drops like a stone for a few minutes.

I have had the problem of the broadband slowing down, I have tried pressing the reset button on the side of the hub, this seems to give it a kick and the speed comes back up, as for as I am aware they upgraded the system about 2 months ago, since then that's when the problem started.

same problem at home sometime really good sometime it will only connect to local network and no internet is availble.

Will give it a bit before complaining.
