' Sticky ' curser

Anyone got any suggestions that might help me solve the problem of a 'sticky' curser. its often jerky & unresponsive as is the scroll bar on the right, sometimes takes a second or more to respond, then jumps.

Cheers.

Maybe she has graduated to an optical mouse already - I have had them go haywire on me too - static build up I think - I used to do a lot of gaming and mouses (mice?) died from pure fatigue

WHat you need to do is soak your mouse in olive oil, the medical version not the cheap cooking stuff. :D :D

Is it wireless by chance?
Try new batteries.

Try another mouse.
If it stops sticking then it's the mouse, if it's still sticking then you have something affecting it - perhaps an IRQ conflict.

Just try a known good mouse.
Then you will know if it is the mouse or a software problem.

I have replaced 'tired' mice, only to find that the poorly one has revived after a period of rest :D

Thanks for the suggestions folks. It only seems to be like this when on certain websites, not when I'm 'offline' Whats an IRQ conflict ?

Cheers & thanks again.
