Nokia firmware update
 

Just done a nokia firmware update a few days ago, which surprisingly completely changed my phones appearance, home screens changed, settings & other bits, thought for the better it gave me widgets on home screen. When i log into facebook it says download FB for N97 whereas before it was my model. Seems my touchscreen doesnt recognise some of the things like turn the alarm off cos even that changed appearance:confused:

Know someone who did a phone update & it naffed the phone up, hoping it hasnt naffed mine up a bit - any clues?

That is the latest version for your phone according to Nokia. Have you tried teh Nokia support forums to see if anyone else is having issues?

Ah least its right update thats main thing, haven't looked at the forums tho wouldnt know where to start lol. Most of its fine just little things like stopping the alarm clock - bloody nitemare, having to reset it to stop it snoozing no matter how much i press stop, internet i have to back to reload cos touchscreen wont activate links some of the time.

Ooobedo had a nosey on some techy forums, seems v50 is causing problems with functionablity, slow sluggish touch response, freezing & slow reacting in features - so seems this update altho nifty in improvement to appearance rather than its functions hmmmmm :(

And someone else has the same prob as me seems unfixable an all :(

if there is a problem Nokia are usually very good at releasing fixes quickly so keep checking for updates.

it may be worth checking on allaboutsymbian.com forums as that is one of the best sites for nokias

Ahhhhhhhhhh cheers for that can confirm it worked phewww:D

Just still waiting for nokia to update now, v50 vers doesnt half drain the battery - well did it abroad, just a few of the gliches to be fixed & it'll be dandy again:D
