Some useful and free technical books
Thought I'd share the following info,
IBM are releasing soem "Getting Started" books in a number of IT technologies. These are free and ideal for people thinking of a career in IT or wishing to learn a new skill There are 2 available now with more to follow. Fill your boots https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/w...us/FREE+eBooks WebSphere is a very much in demand skill and as an example a decent Contractor will earn £450-600 per day as self employed or 35-50K permie. so if you have the aptitude and fancy a change its worth a look. I will also be happy to assist anyone who genuinely wants to learn this skill as its my core skill set. |
Re: Some useful and free technical books
I forgot to mention I also have a Virtual Box 'image' including the developer edition of WebSphere running on centOS (close to red hat ) to use as a learning tool. you need a reasonable spec machine ( 2gig CPU, 2 gig RAM min ) but it only needs about 8 gig of disk space. Shout if you want a copy ( its all free for non commercial use so ideal for this )
