FCUoM more matches switched to the Interlink

Its just recently been announced that two more matches will be played at the Interlink. The first being the challenge cup game against Colne the date being the Sunday 13th of November with a 2pm kick off time. Then the following weeks league match against Darwen has also been switched to the Interlink but I have yet to find out the actual date and kick off time.It should be a good do,as we are still on a flier, with beating Nelson yesterday 5 - 0 with a crowd of just over 3,000.Colne should prove more of a challenge as they are in the league above us & we should get some idea of the standard of football we may come up against should we win promotion in this our first season of being a club.

Think about it....They are not hiring the stadium to 'Us lot' They are hiring the stadium out to the teams in question. These are away fixtures for FCUoM.We use Gigg Lane Bury for our home games and are involved with negotiating for our own stadium being built in the next year are so.

OK, well, I hope he's got a good rate from Darwen and Colne, then. Hopefully, we'll make a bit on the bar takings, as I've heard that your lads like a drink.

Yes,just an odd one LOL. And I must add they are all well behaved, its a good family day out for them.I myself have taken 2 of my daughters to the odd game. There is no silly running on pitch, when it has happened only the odd time may I add the rest of the crowd boo and heckle them.We dont want that as it adds to expence of stewards and police, and its not needed. They also go through alot of pies LOL,as it showed on the documentry if you so it, which is even more money for Stanley.Dont know how much truth in it but when me and Tinkerbelle went to the Stanley v Aldershot game I was told a friendly was in the pipeline at end of season, maybe it was just bar room gossip have you heard anything????

Not heard about that but it sounds like a great idea. I'd certainly be up for it.

Incidentally, there's some billboards gone up round my neck of the woods (South Manchester) with the headline "This Is Our City" on a sky blue background and the website address MCFC.CO.UK on the bottom. Some joker has gone round sticking large FCUM crests over them!
