I'm just saying until Sven brought on Rooney and Lennon we looked like we would have been happy with a draw. Their arrival, particularly the boy Rooney lifted our game which resulted in the whole team playing better football.....and us winning.:)

I so wish my kids throats has:rolleyes: shouting & cheering the goals hasn't worked but probably made themselves deafer so hence they are still in raised voice in stereo:eek:

I suppose they got the result,but it was not the sort of performance that is going to bring the trophy home.I wonder which one of group 'A' we will be playing in the second round?Is it going to be the Germans with thier home advantage?or the team from Ecuador who for me seem the best team so far? I just hope the England boys can raise thier game by then and we all can have something to shout about:) .Hopefully Sweden & Costa Rica game is a draw,then we go through topping the group.:)

My England 1966 one,why?Dont get me wrong I want England to do it but the team has to improve by quite abit,hopefully they will do in the Sweden game,then they can be ready for the knockout stages.They shouldnt struggle against the Germans or Ecuador but if they play like they did tonight against Brazil,France,Argentina or Italy,They would be in serious trouble.Yes it made a difference when Rooney and Lennon came on,but to me they should not be relying on one individual,:) its supposed to be a team game. :)

True point i would be a hell of a lot more nervous if up against the margies or brazil, specially playing as we have, yeh they do need to remember they are a team as quite a few like Cole & Lampard tried the glory goal that didnt happen & would of been better passed as Beckham has learned this world cup, but suppose its trial & error with the players & if they learn from it to improve. But without dogging em {oopppsss soz rindy:o:p] they didn't let in a goal yet & defence is doing well - the most is we are getting the result which is winning not conceeding:D
