Glad Beckhams back on his true form despite being sick he regularly scored goals like that for man Utd when he 1st started!! Lampard still needs his sexy bottom spanked tho:eek: & whats with all the high balls???

Having said that they played better today than they have so far even tho we didnt play our regular 4-4-2 formation.

Rooney was a determined ****** LOL i think Sven definately weren't taking him off after last week him throwing a sweaty:D

Blame were blame is due, yes Terry made quite a few fu ..... mistakes too ;) I still wouldn't kick him out the sack though and now I fancy a foursome with Terry, Lampard and Robinson ..... I'm a greedy girl :D

What happened to the excitement..........we're through to the quarter finals.................wonderful!!

Becksie's goal was superb and I'm so glad he got it as I doubt he'll be in the next World Cup. I wasn't too keen on all those long passes from Robinson as they didn't get us anywhere.

Still, we have it all to go through again come Saturday and hopefully, it won't be so stressful.

I thought this was a serious thread where the game could be discussed/argued about or whatever but reading some of the comments posted makes me see why some blokes think women shouldn't be anywhere near football.
We won - but that was all, apart from Beckham's brilliant goal there really was not much to shout about,it was alright in patches but thank God we weren't playing the Germans today cos we'd have been stuffed out of sight. That said, we're through but the lads will really have to raise their game next Saturday

hello but isnt football supposed to be fun also? and quite honestly i think that most blokes are pleased that more women are takin an interest. but that dosent mean that you blokes cant still post serious threads.and yes i agree other than becks brilliant goal the game was nothing to shout about so why not let the girls have their turn

Decent match - don't think we did much wrong (well, the odd lost ball but nothing major) but neither did we do anything spectacular. We had about 7 or 8 chances and should have converted some more of them.

I don't think it matters which one we get next. Both teams have good playes in that will need watching. If we do get Portugal though it looks like Ronaldo won't be playing so that's one God send!

I think a lot of problems in footy - certainly becomes apparent in world cup is how much blatent cheating is gone un-punished likes of argies & tonights match even the biases going on with ref's !!

All i want is for the players to start wearing the shorts like what they wore in the 80's - nice short shorts not the baggy things they wear now! Us ladies prefer to see their legs!

By the way the match today was the best i've seen england play in the world cup. In the other games they played in the first half and dossed in the 2nd half. Today theyve played both halves. You can tell Rooneys back - I thought he was lucky not to get yellow carded because of the back chat to the ref. Best player for England though so far Joe Cole but he wasnt as good today as what he has been in the other games.

Portugal have lost a couple of good players - dont know what they'll be like next saturday we will just have to hope and pray that no one has any injuries during the week and they play a blinder next week! I was thinking they'd get to the semi's and then be coming home.

Nah I have to disagree Mel I don't think it's a problem it's one of the best things. I know that might sound silly, but if there wasn't a certain amount of bias we wouldn't have anything to scream and shout about.
