after the big hoo haa about zidane playing his last match - the fifa have given him a 3 match ban for his head butt and matta gets a 2 match ban for instigating him...

makes lots of sense that...

They realised he had retired so gave him 3 day community service instead, teaching youngsters and a £3k fine!
Lets put this in reality -
Whats £3K to him?
Teaching youngsters? will most likely be football, something he enjoys doing!
If you went down town and butted someone and got taken to court for it, wage for wage it would be something like a £2 fine for you and 3 days CS, do you think this would happen? no, I dont either

yeah i know - imagine doin that durin the queen's jubilee service - u'd get the book thrown at u for the fact that so many people were watchin

yet 3 days cs and 3k is a joke even if he's retired

it may not be much but to me the good thing to come out of this is that its a start doing the instigator this sort of thing needs to be out of the game also so its a step in the right direction by setting the precedent.;)

I think the fine should be realistic though, what would you get fined - £150? lets say thats half a weeks wage, therefore he should have been fined £40/45K? half of his weekly wage
