Can someone fill me in on how many more rounds to go til the quarter finals?
Is it a one-match knock out each round?

jrenshaw 10-11-2003 13:46

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

yep one match per round I think it's 5 more games before the quarter finals.

Jo 10-11-2003 13:59

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Harry - haven't fogotten the photos with the shirt, just waiting for the right moment to take it, OK?

HarryX 11-11-2003 10:36

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Is there ever a right moment? :)

Added sundays streaker to my streaker section at www.kipax.com ... All my streaker pictures are edited with the ugly bits covered.. however I ahve sent the originals to www.streaking.co.uk and they have them with the ugly bits showing..

When I say ugly bits.. I mean ikle little ugly bits.

GoldenBallz 11-11-2003 10:59

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

I was gonna say Harry. From where I was standing it all looked pretty ugly from my vantage point (Clayton End behind the goals). You rarely get tanned, honed and toned babes (and vice versa for the ladies to be pc about this) streaking. They're all 25 stone playmates of the month from dropdeadugly.com,e.g. Exhibit A for the prosecution Mark Roberts the uk's most prolific streaker. I wonder why? Hmmm  ::)

HarryX 11-11-2003 11:56

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

If ever a decent bird runs on the pitch I will probably be too preocupied to take pics... Being as I quite like looking at naked women  :)

I have pics of england fans in white boilersuits with goldenballs written on them......... Have a look at my site.. other football and the England games at Leeds and Liverpool.

Well done Accrington Stanley - I salute you! ;D

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Never saw the streaker, as I was otherwise engaged, but once clicked into uglyfootballers.com and they had an ugly fan and ugly streakers section, which was a bit of a giggle. Will have to check out these other sites. ;D

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Well Done Stanley - brilliant result.

Lets just hope they can finish the job at the Interlink Express Stadium (still wanted to type the Crown Ground).

Fingers crossed if they get past Bournemouth then they'll fancy their chance of beating Colchester - Cardiff here we come!!!

Tealeaf 08-12-2003 11:11

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Reported in today's Times:-

"No team in England would have fancied themselves against the Accrington defence..." Sean O'Driscoll, Bournemouth Manager.

Enough said!

Mik Dickinson 08-12-2003 16:28

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Tealeaf you read the times, next you will be telling us you do the Crosword as well.Hope that pint you get Adi is more expensive than it was when i lived in England. Was a pound then ?????????

adi 09-12-2003 09:22

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

thats if I see the pint Mik!!

just read that Stanley's game against Bouremouth is going to be on Sky's Monday Night Football, which gaurantee's both sides £50,000.

Tealeaf 09-12-2003 11:13

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

So what miracle will Sky perform to get it on Monday night footy? I thought the game was on tuesday night, 23rd Dec. Or am I from another planet?

A pints is about £1.60/£1.80 for bitter, now Mik.....that's in Church. I won't tell you what it costs down here.

ASFC1951 15-12-2003 06:57

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

If they play like did on Saturday they'll win it. Sheer poetry, especially in the second half.

Yeah. Nice one lads. Excellent performance. Can't help feeling sorry for Speare but he did the right thing by encouraging Kennedy. Come on Stanley..we're on our way, we're on our way, we're goin' to Cardiff  :P

Jo 16-12-2003 08:46

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Saw the result on Sky News this morning. It was teh only result they gave, we're getting erally famous now!  GREAT STUFF!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to beat Colchester and see who they get in the next round... ;D

George Walker 16-12-2003 11:28

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

watched the match last night good result.

adi 18-12-2003 10:22

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Just like to say well done to Stanley - hopefully it'll be more of the same against Colchester, then who knows!?!

Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers............................................ .........

Oh by the way Tealeaf what night did you watch the game? The miracle performed by Sky on the Monday or the quite er, real, Tuesday!!!!

Mik Dickinson 18-12-2003 12:53

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Watched the rerun on Tuesday as i was working night on Monday. Was a very pleasureable game and goes to show that there is a lot of football talent in Stanleys side.Nice to see Sky getting in on it too, financial rewards for samll clubs are rare nowadays.Who is bothered who they get.I have the feeling they could do really well this season.I send an e - mail off every week to Soccer am on Sky about Stanley and have threatened them i will be sending one every week until the ymention accrington Stanley on their show

Tealeaf 18-12-2003 14:17

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Hi Adi..............I did'nt see the game, unfortunatly. I was stuck for 2 hours on one of Branson's trains which was'nt going anywhere & by the time I got in the game was over.

As for the dates, that was'nt my fault.....someone posted on here it was 23rd Dec and I followed suit from that.....No matter, the result is what counts.......once we've rolled over Colchester, lets get Chelski or Man U and sort them out to.

adi 23-12-2003 09:40

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Now that would be nice eh Tealeaf.

And with the way the game has gone, it would be one of the BIGGEST upsets of all time.............................................. ..................

ASFC1951 23-12-2003 09:54

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Hopefully, we can beat Colchester and draw a big name in the next round...but will we make it to the quarter-finals like Church?

adi 23-12-2003 14:05

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

Well that is the big question ASFC1951?

If you play as well as we have played this season then hopefully you can make it like we have!!

Speaking of which ours is only two weeks away now - so we are already crossing our fingers

ASFC1951 23-12-2003 14:57

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

I think we're talking at cross-purposes here, Adj. I was being a bit of an anorak and talking about Church FC who got to the quarter-finals of the actual FA Cup in 1885 before being beaten 1-0 by Old Carthusians.

What's the match Church Town are in two weeks from now? Good luck, whatever it is.

Mik Dickinson 23-12-2003 18:38

Colchester who the hell are they.COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Re: CUP RUN FEVER

:)just ordered my tickets on line on there website for the big cup game on january 3rd,$15.00 i know its a fiver more than a league game but come on they need our support, its like an extra man out there for them when we get behind them,so dig deep get your tickets and support your local heroes :)

Mik Dickinson 07-01-2004 18:40

Well another replay but Stanley look good so far. Then its off to Coventry.Hard season for the lads but when all said and done they must be looking to stay in the Conference at the end of the season. That is the most important thing

adi 08-01-2004 13:37

it's like you said Mik it's been an hard season so far and they have done very well. They will certainly be playing at least Conference football next season, I just hope that the Cup Run does leave them having to play catch up in the League and they can secure a Play-Off Place.

As for the Cup game I was on about ASFC1951 - i run a team called Church Town and we have just won that particular Quarter-Final to reach the Semi-Final.

We play in the local Saturday and Sunday League and I thought you'd see our progress on our Website!!!

janet 13-01-2004 12:38

Accrington Stanley

Lot's of luck to stanley for tonight's match.

Mik Dickinson 13-01-2004 22:02

Well a shame but its over. Now to concentrate on the league.3rd division would be a lot better than the F.A. Cup.The Stanley team have done themselves proud.Well i am proud of them anyway

janet 14-01-2004 11:50

Yeah, fingers and toe's crossed mik.

Mik Dickinson 21-01-2004 16:13

Well last nights result was a good un.

Tealeaf 21-01-2004 16:58

How come Stanley always play better with 10 men?
